As we hear families and older adults cry for support, witness the rejection of LGBTQIA+ siblings, feel heartbroken by cruelty toward immigrants, are saddened by the loneliness of strangers, and hope our faith guides us to a more just and peaceful world, we seek to:
Learn the word of God so we are prepared for our ministries.
Worship in ways that move the spirit into the presence of God.
Gather in community, in service, and in compassion as one body in Christ.
Care for families, the elderly, and the sick among us as they are part of the body.
Speak truth to power and go into the world to do the work God asks of us.
We pray that the wisdom of the ancients and the power of God’s Word are with us through Jesus Christ and in us through the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.
