Ellen Harper, Elizabeth Hangan and Marguerite Millard of the Citrus Sisters are based in Southern California and have been playing music together in a variety of formats for many years. Ellen Harper is a singer, songwriter, musician and author and is co-owner of the Folk Music Center in Claremont. Elizabeth Hangan is a singer, songwriter, bass player and music educator based in Southern California. Marguerite Millard has played with a variety of musical groups in the Bay Area and in Southern California. Her group, Squeakin’ Wheels, performs frequently around Claremont—including a concert on our outdoor stage last July.
Ellen, Elizabeth and Marguerite have been playing music together in a variety of formats for many years. Recently they formed their own band: “The Citrus Sisters” and have been playing at several local venues including: Earth Day at Pilgrim Place, the Claremont Library “On the Same Page” book signing event for Always a Song, and creating a studio recording of a Civil Rights song for the upcoming documentary on the book My Life with Rosie by Angela Sadler Williamson.
This outdoor concert is free and open to the public.
