Newcomers' Orientation
Would you like to learn more about Claremont Presbyterian Church? Newcomers are invited to gather in the church library following worship on Sunday, September 26 to meet our pastors and learn more about the history and the many ministries of our congregation. Information on becoming a member of CPC will be available for those interested.
Membership
Everyone is welcome to participate in the life and ministry of Claremont Presbyterian Church. There are many opportunities to learn, grow, and use your gifts in God’s service.
Many newcomers eventually want to take the step of officially becoming members of Claremont Presbyterian Church. When a person becomes a church member, he or she makes a public commitment to follow the path of Christ, support the ministries of our congregation, and be a friend in faith to other members of the CPC community. Members also have voice and vote at congregational meetings and may be elected to the offices of elder or deacon. At the same time, the congregation makes a public commitment to support new members on their faith journeys and to incorporate their gifts into the life of the church.
Paths to Membership:
If you are interested in becoming a member of CPC, please contact Pastor Karen Sapio at (909) 624-9693 for more information.
Youth who wish to become church members usually do so by being part of our Confirmation program. This program is offered annually, usually for those in ninth grade.
